Wild Card of the Week: Influences All Signs

Two of Wands (Mars in Aries) ‐ Dominion

This is a powerfully hot card for the beginning of a hot month. Fire in Fire ‐ Fiery Mars is the ruler of the fire sign Aries. The Two of Wands is power in its unbridled state of action giving us the tremendous desire to act, often times without a goal in mind. This expression of will may take us down new paths.

  • This card indicates the will and the energy to move forward in a new direction from a place of undaunted will, full of power and balanced dominion
  • What was unfocused energy is now becoming clear and polarized
  • This card represents self confidence that only comes from affirming and approving of oneself
  • This card encourages us to deal with the theme of violence

Aries

Aries: March 21 - April 19

The Hierophant ‐ Atu Five

This is the universal card of learning and teaching. As the course in Miracles says "as you teach so will you learn. If that is true, and it is true indeed, do not forget that what you teach is teaching you". The Hierophant card requires us to have faith in ourselves "above all things know thyself". This is often forgotten in family situations and the mundane world. The image of Isis imbedded in the Hierophant encourages us to listen to our intuition. Have faith in the inner power of ourselves, the one that knows our divinity in the world.

  • This card indicates the querent is experiencing the principle of learning and teaching
  • Querent may be seeking guidance from a counselor who has knowledge and authority
  • Life is a teacher, as the querent experiences growth through the philosophy that every experience is a lesson‐learning opportunity

Taurus

Taurus: April 20 - May 20

Four of Swords (Jupiter in Libra)

The Four suggests perfection, realization, completion and fixing a matter into stability. The stability is a form of truce, where equal tension makes a stability of mental power. This can indicate a restfulness of the mind and a restfulness from strife. However, one must be careful not to struggle to keep the peace, for then one starts to compromise themselves. Hence, violating their "Truth" to live a lie.

  • There is a mental understanding of a matter, or a relationship coming to full resolution on four levels of mental awareness: The rational, emotional, spiritual and physical
  • A holding pattern after mastering a difficult mental situation
  • A moment of logic and discriminating intelligence of integrity and planning

Gemini

Gemini: May 21 - June 20

Three of Wands (Sun in Aries)

This is a very active card to an astrologer because the Sun in Aries heralds spring. Growth begins and shows itself as bright warm energy. This is a card of great strength and individual expression. Here is absolute power that can corrupt with egocentricity, and pride. Yet we have virtue if one stays true to oneself, that is soul, mind and body.

  • The querent is experiencing the conjoining of body, mind and spirit
  • Putting thoughts into action
  • Clarity, where you see yourself honestly
  • Here is a warning not to compromise your inner fire. Be as spring and flower in your own inner fire!

Cancer

Cancer: June 21 - July 22

The Wheel of Fortune ‐ Atu Ten

The Wheel of Fortune implies Fate and the wheel of life. This is not a roulette wheel of chance and accidents, for in Qaballah, it is known that we are solely responsible for our own destinies which the words "freedom of choice" implies; one must live the choices they make. This card implies the cyclic energy at work and the heralding of change.

  • Indicates that in the next 10 weeks or 10 months there shall be new opportunities for creating fortune in the querent's life
  • Generally this is a good luck card depicting rewards and recognition for things completed
  • Life is moving and being busy, so breakthroughs in prosperity and abundance are approaching fast

When the Ace of Disks is thrown in a Tarot reading, new material conditions for a new satisfying path in life shall ensue. This card reminds us that we can be and/or whatever we define ourselves to be. To be ill defined is to think ill about any or all that you see. To be well defined is to know that everything you see is of your making.

  • The seeds of material gain are sown, labor, power, wealth and all things of earthly material are in the works
  • Materiality in all sense of the word; be that good or evil. So, in a sense, it is an illusion

Ten of Swords (Sun in Gemini)

This is the traditional Death card in the tarot deck. Death of a cycle. Here ends the dispute, the argument, as one moves on. Here is a bad situation that must be left behind for a new future. This card can also mean going away to relieve stress and tension. Although the querent might not feel any hope at all, this card indicates a new hope, a new direction born out of despair.

  • In the next 10 weeks or 10 months querent will have the capability to resolve negative thinking of finances and the heart. Especially fear of ruin regarding relationships with Gemini people
  • When fear of ruin is seen as a stepping stone, it's debilitating effect is greatly reduced
  • Transcending old patterns does require the ruin of past patterns so, it will be ruin if we continue with old patterns

Scorpio

Scorpio: October 23 - November 21
