Wild Card of the Week: Influences All Signs

Ariadne

Ariadne assisted the initiates of old as they traveled the labyrinth, step by step, in darkness. Our journey to healing may often feel as daunting and uncertain. She reminds us that the Soul always knows the way. By trusting our inner knowing we will overcome the Shadow, the Minotaur, which represents our own fears and negative patterns. The Goddess will light the way, if we listen to Her voice within.

Aries

Aries: March 21 - April 19

Sarada Devi, The Divine Mother

Though human, Sarada Devi, appeared to her initiates as a living embodiment of the Goddess. Sarada Devi taught her followers that the love of Goddess is unconditional and exists for all beings. She showed them that all beings are aspects of Goddess and are meant to live in unity and compassion. Love yourself absolutely. Allow yourself to be a channel of the Mother's Love for others.

Taurus

Taurus: April 20 - May 20

White Buffalo Calf Woman

White Buffalo Calf Woman came to the Lakota people as a Holy Being. She taught the people to honor the sacredness immanent in nature and daily life and to practice generosity, gratitude and community. This week, in the spirit of White Buffalo Calf Woman, give thanks for what you have and share what you can.

Gemini

Gemini: May 21 - June 20

Zhou Zuanjing, The Mystic of Peace

Zhou Zuanjing was a 12th Century Taoist Mystic and Poet. Through her poetry she taught how to achieve stillness so that one may act, not from the ego, but from union with the Source of All Life. Receiving this card is an encouragement to seek out stillness. Consider the actions you will take this week and ask yourself if these actions serve ego or express love. Choose love.

Cancer

Cancer: June 21 - July 22

Machig Labdron, the Diamond Hearted Dakini

In Tibetan Buddhism, Machig Labdron is an incarnation of Buddha Vajra yogini. Machig Labdron created the Buddhist practice of Chod, a surrendering of the Inner Demons, the negative beliefs that keep us from being truly free. Who are your Inner Demons? You may need to name them before you can let them go.

Leo

Leo: July 23 - August 22

Inanna

One of the most moving stories of Inanna is her Descent into the Land of Death. She descends, surrendering jewels and layers of protective clothing. Finally, naked, she meets her sister, her Shadow, and undergoes the process of death, so that she may emerge filled with Wisdom. In order to gain Wisdom we must release the past. What will you let go of so that you can move forward toward Wisdom?

Virgo

Virgo: August 23 - September 22

The Cosmic Egg, the Divine Feminine

The Cosmic Egg is a symbol of the Creative Power of the Divine Feminine. You are receiving this card as a reminder that the creative power of the Mother is within you. You are reminded that perfection exists within you. You are Her perfect child. Honor and love yourself. See her creative powers within your life. Recognize Her Blessings throughout your journey.

Libra

Libra: September 23 - October 22

Lilith

Lilith is an icon of Women's Freedom. She rebelled against submission to Adam and reinvented herself. She is the original Wild Woman and she beckons you to be free! Ask yourself this week, "if I could be completely free, who would I be?" What steps can you take to incorporate some of that wildness into your daily life?

Scorpio

Sarah‐La‐Kali is honored in the region of Saintes‐Maries‐de‐la‐Mer, in the south of France, especially by the Romany people, who carry an image of her each year, out of a crypt and into the sea, where she is bathed, granting renewal to all. There are many legends about her origin. She is an enigma and an enduring symbol of the Mother who cares for all who are Outcast. Who are the outcast in your community? What act of love can you perform for the Outcast this week?
