Wild Card of the Week: Influences All Signs
Cerridwen ~ Crone of Flames
The Celtic Goddess is the keeper of the cauldron of wisdom. In it she brews the magical potions, holding the mystery of death and creation. She represents a powerful creative force and deep knowledge, inspiring us to acquire wisdom through this creative force that is within each of us ‐ and share it with others.
Aries: March 21 - April 19
Yemaya ~ Moon
Yemaya is an African Moon Goddess, she represents the power of the moon and the attraction she has on us. She reminds us that we are living in cycles, that we have no control of. In our busy world we tend to overhear the signs. Sometimes we regard them as annoyance instead of sacred, as the sacred beings we are, or deny them altogether. There is no time for the sacred in this technocratic busy world. It is time to embrace the cyclic nature of our lives and not be afraid of the things we cannot control. Rather look forward to it with anticipation and embrace each full cycle as a dear friend.
Taurus: April 20 - May 20
The Amazon ~ Chariot
In matriarchal structures the Amazons were warriors. If we imagine the chariot‐riding warrior, we understand her strong will and determination, which she has to have. Now translate this picture to our life, it means that the amazon represents us, the chariot is our basis, our means to move on ‐ this could as well be our social environment. The super power is our intuition. To be successful and victorious in our plan, we need to have the equilibrium to combine the will power and determination with our intuition. Never lose the balance, this is what matters most. We all know how a quarrel with a spouse can make our day miserable, and how love and harmony literally give us wings, and make hard work as easy as pie. It is important to where we feel we are to go in life, to feel that not only do we matter, but how much pressure can the chariot and the horses take. And to hold on and evaluate if the direction we run to needs course correction.
Gemini: May 21 - June 20
Coyote Woman ~ The Trickster
The Trickster is not bad, the trickster can be helpful, showing us our weak spots. We fail when we prejudge a person or situation, when we do not consider our projections. We mostly do so when we are in a hurry. This happens obviously when someone is pushing us to make a decision, or ‐ and this is more dangerous ‐ when we push ourselves, or we are so absorbed or sure about something we THINK is the right meaning/opinion. So the message of this card is to be careful ‐ about your environment but mostly about yourself, your perception. Be clear, stay in balance, remain in contact with your core closely, and all will be fine. Maybe you could take a short trip to get out of your current environment on order to gain some distance.
Cancer: June 21 - July 22
Taming ~ Temperance
Impulsively, the wild woman may dislike this word 😊 it was always my first response… The demanding part is the discipline, the self‐discipline necessary ‐ that could be interpreted as restriction. But think of the bigger picture, when we look at ourselves as the perfect combination of these powers. What taming means here is rather the fine‐tuning of our powers, balancing them in a way they make the perfect composition to be successful. In Shamanism the healer contacts her spiritual helpers and guides to destroy her body and re‐build it in the optimal way to be successful and unharmed in the healing procedure ahead. Often we face a seeming obstacle, or a standstill, in a matter that we should look at as a possibility to gather the necessary balance and condition to be victorious.
Leo: July 23 - August 22
Seven of Flames
The Seven of Flames represents Victory. It is not the sort of success that is easily given. You deserve this victory because you have worked really hard to get here. Do not let doubt in the success or your powers take it from you ‐ there is no reason for giving up. Move on with all your power and strength. You have deserved this… now go and take it ‐ your victory 😊 You may be exhausted in the end, but it will liberate you enormously and give your new strength.
Virgo: August 23 - September 22
Eight of Cups
Sometimes we fear change and shy away from facing a necessary and healing confrontation. However, there is a difference between avoiding and redrawing. Even if it is inevitable to face a bitter truth, it is good to withdraw if it helps us to take the time we need to prepare emotionally.
Libra: September 23 - October 22
Hecate ~ Crone of Cups
Hecate is the Goddess of magic ‐ the queen of witches. But she is also the goddess of death. With the element of water, the crone of cups represents our relationship with the deep and unknown world of emotions and intuition. She will guide us in all processes of death, of letting go of feelings, and of emotional structures that no longer serve us. You feel deep within that it is time to loosen bonds that you understand are not supporting you anymore, they rather hinder you to grow. There are times of waging the pros and cons ‐ and there are times when we trust our intuition and let go in love.
Scorpio: October 23 - November 21
Ten of Pentacles
Tens represent the culmination, the fulfilling end of a cycle and a reward. The pentacles represent the physical plane… Harvest has been a ritual where family and friends have come together to celebrate and share the fruits of the earth and the hard work. Traditions, given from one generation to the next make the success possible. Enjoy the gifts of your harvest 😊
Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21
Four of Cups
It is time to move on and face the full cup that has been waiting for us. Embrace the hope for the best of a fresh start. It is important to take our time to mourn a loss ‐ and it is equally important to face the chances of the new beginning with a whole heart. Believe in a bright future.
Capricorn: December 22 - January 19
Strength
Strength and power are not the same but walk together hand in hand. Our self‐understanding and the trust we have in our abilities shape our inner strength. This feeling defines how we operate in this world. Situations in our life where we can prove the trust in ourselves, to help us grow. Freedom strengthens us, it is emotional independence from the acknowledgment or approval of others. Have faith in you, and in your abilities, and remember that nobody has power over you, unless you give this power away. And you can always take it back 😊
Aquarius: January 20 - February 18
The Witch ~ The Magician
The Witch has a history of blackmail, persecution and suppression. In medieval times the women with healing powers constituted a threat to the church, who claimed power over the body and soul of the people. Today a witch holds the power of the elements within herself and can direct and create her reality. She also takes responsibility for her actions. This power can also be abused. Be always clear with yourself and the reasons for your workings ‐ what are your true intentions.
Pisces: February 19 - March 20
Three of Flames
This Three of Flames represents faith, when you trust and put your faith into a decision or person so fully and with all your heart, that nothing and nobody can destroy that feeling. When you feel deep inside that this is right and you defend it against all odds. In this particular reading, this card is in a position that shows you are hesitating. For some reason, you are not able or willing to trust. Take little steps and work your way towards the faith in yourself. Let situations arise where you dare to trust, proving yourself worthy.
