The course takes approximately two years to complete, but can be completed in as little as 13 months at an intensive pace. The course is eclectic and Goddess-centered, built upon the foundation of the Women's Spirituality Movement as it has evolved over the last 35 years. This training is open to people of all faiths who are seeking to incorporate the Goddess into their existing spirituality. Curriculum includes Goddess studies, ritual, meditation, prayer, magick, healing, divination, dreams, and astral work. One-on-one instruction and interaction with other students is provided. Graduates of this course are eligible to enroll in a public ministry course and to receive ordination through The Order of The White Moon. Schools for White Moon Teachings The Sacred Three Goddess School Moonlit Path Goddess School Moonflower Ministry Goddess Rising Dark Moon's Heart The Rainbow Moon (open to trans folks and couples) Some members of the Order of the White Moon also offer short courses on a variety of topics. White Moon Curriculum Level I (four months) focuses on Goddess studies, sacred space, ritual, and personal empowerment. The first level essentially serves as a foundation for daily practice. Students observe the seasons, connect with the moon, and begin mediation, energy work, and spell crafting. Both novice and experienced students are required to begin with Level I. In this, and each subsequent level, students create a final project focused on a particular Goddess. Apart from their individual studies, there is an expectation that students will be actively engaged within the Order (through the OWMChat group) as a way of serving their spiritual community. Students will be introduced to OWM's Public Outreach programs where they will have opportunities to give back to OWM and the community at large. Level II (four months) deepens the study of meditation and energy work and introduces the practice of divination, focusing on the Motherpeace Tarot. This level also contains a strong emphasis on chakra work and self-healing. Level II students choose to follow the Path of Prayer or the Path of Magick. Initiates will continue with active participation in group discussions. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the workings of the Order by completing the following: - at least one WTZ reading as a way to practice their tarot skills - at least one submission to Seasons of the Moon, OWM's quarterly newsletter. Level III (five months) strongly emphasizes dream, astral, and shamanic work, and introduces body-based lunar astrology. In addition, students choose three elective areas of study: gemstones, herbs, candle magick, dream work, healing, and Tarot spells. For the last month, students undergo a practical internship in teaching, divination, healing, or prayer. Adepts will be fully immersed in the workings of the Order by continuing to be engaged in group discussions as well as the following: - at least one WTZ reading as a way to practice their tarot skills - at least one submission to Seasons of the Moon, OWM's quarterly newsletter. - active participation in the Healing Temple Students must satisfactorily complete all of the assignments in order to receive course certificates. Levels II & III include some elective course offerings (where students may choose what to study), but most of the course material is required. Ceremonial Cords and framable Completion Certificates are awarded at no extra cost to those completing each level. Level I : Initiate, white cord Level II : Adept, red cord Level III : Priestess, black cord Level I graduates automatically become members of The Order of The White Moon or our affiliated Order of the Rainbow Moon. Tuition is $30-US per 4 weeks of lessons. There is no extra fee for moving through the lessons more slowly. The entire fee for each level is $120-US. (Level III includes one month free.) Students must also buy approximately three textbooks for each course level. Tuition covers lessons & assignments, personalized instructor evaluation & feedback, and discussion & support from other students. In addition, students will receive audio lessons of guided meditations & exercises. Any other materials needed should be readily available around your house or at a local thrift store. No expensive tools are needed. A list of textbooks required for each Level can be found here. Qualifying graduates of Level III may apply to Level IV for public ministry training. Graduates of Level IV are eligible to receive ordination. Luna Blanca, H.P., the 1999 founder of the White Moon School and the Order of the White Moon, an international eclectic Order of Women dedicated to the Goddess. The school is headed by Rev. Kerritwyn, H.P., who was a Charter Member of the White Moon School, who was elevated to High Priestess in 2000, who was taught directly by Luna Blanca, and who now serves on the Board of Directors and the Ordination Council of the Order of the White Moon. To know Goddess and to walk with Goddess during our lifetimes is tremendously empowering for women, and a source of joy, pleasure, honor and integrity. We are eclectic, offering each woman the right craft her own path, within our shared belief in the Rede, to do no harm, and the Rule of Three, that whatever you send out "comes back" to you. Knowing Goddess enhances any faith tradition, and no student is "required" to abandon her past, to be a member of this community. Moonlit Path Goddess School The Moonlit Path Goddess School guides, teaches, and inspires all women to connect to the beautiful, creative, loving, wise Divine Feminine within themselves and to be empowered as they create and follow their own unique spiritual path. The course work explores an eclectic study of the Divine Feminine, while connecting women to the Goddess within themselves and opens them up to creating their own unique relationship to the Goddess and their own spiritual practice. Each student receives individual instruction and guidance, as well as connection to active online community that is a supportive, accepting, and caring sisterhood where they can share with other students. It's not a quick and easy road, but it can be well worth doing. Dark Moon's Heart The journey to the heart center can take us on a spiraling path of death and rebirth. Like the snake shedding its skin, this process can be painful at times. Patriarchy has taught women to fear their personal power, to deny it, to dismiss it. All too often, a woman's Divine light remains hidden under layers of fear, anger, subjugation, past wounds and present injustices. Dark Moon's Heart provides a safe, nurturing environment for the uncoiling spirit. It is a place where a woman can die to her old self, and be reborn to the life she is meant to be living, honouring the Goddess within. The Rainbow Moon The Rainbow Moon is a sister order of The Order of the White Moon. Kerritwyn, head of the Order, is an H.P. who completed the White Moon School coursework and was ordained in the Order of the White Moon in December of 2000. The curriculum for the Rainbow Moon School is the same as taught in other OWM schools, with additional material added for TV/CD/TG/TS transgendered seekers. Legal Ordination for students who complete Level IV will be provided by affiliation with the Order of the White Moon, pursuant to Resolution #3 of the Board of Directors. Kerritwyn is a genetic woman married to an MTF transgendered parter. This online school is open to MTF transgendered students and their wives or girlfriends aged 18 or older. Short Courses Elemental Shadow Work Taught by HP River Duration: 4 weeks Tuition: $40 We in Neo‐Pagan belief systems recognize the existence of the shadow self. "As above; so below". The shadow self is as much a part of our psyche as our outer consciousness. Recognizing our shadow, and making peace with it, can be a lifelong pursuit. There are many ways and routes to incorporating this self into our consciousness. In this series of lessons, we are going to explore the tool of working with the four elements (air, fire, water and earth) to get to know aspects of our shadow selves and discover possible ways to bring into balance certain character traits that we find to be out of balance. It has been noted that a trait perhaps labeled negative, one that impedes our progress toward wholeness, is likely a positive character trait that has become unbalanced.
